Writing Non-Fiction: The Basics

Learn Non-Fiction Writing: The Basics

Writing Non Fiction The Basics

Writing a book is one of the most challenging tasks a person could undertake. It is even more challenging if the book is non-fiction. Find out how to transform your passion and expertise on a topic, into a book that anyone can enjoy. Understand the process of planning and structuring ideas and content for a non-fiction book and learn how to apply the techniques of creative writing to non-fiction. While you may have tons of knowledge on a subject, your reader probably doesn’t and so, it is important to know how to explain complicated topics in a simple yet interesting way, that will keep your audience engaged. Learn all this and more in this fun, interactive workshop.

With the help of exercises and writing prompts, we will aim to discover your authentic voice. We will talk about some of the technical aspects of writing non-fiction, what kinds of word count to think about, and how to start thinking like a non-fiction writer.

This workshop will teach you the importance of:

  • Developing your understanding of non-fiction
  • Writing with detachment
  • Using your imagination while writing non-fiction
  • Trying out different tactics of telling your story
  • Thinking of subjects fit to write about

All you have to do is log in to become part of a group of writers who are possibly dealing with questions similar to yours.
